Emergency vet NOW!

She might have Parvo, and if she does, tomorrow could be too late.

Well I took her to the another vet,He asked what was wrong, told him what I told you all, then he said "it sounds like PARVO, you need to leave a $200$ deposit (wich I dont have) so I told the Doc. that I didnt have that kind of money. He said " We also accept CareCredit" so I aplied and am waiting for a reply from carecredit....So he said that he couldnt do anything for me today and told me to take her to the Emergency Vet..And..he said..It will cost you way more then it would here....sorry but the fizzle guy almost made me cry..I have no money and he tells me this... :po: ..just wanted to punch him...then he told me that it was cheaper for me to take her to the pound and to put her to sleep.because there is no treatment for parvo only medication..sooo frustrated....Sorry but I dont know what to do....Ill just have to wait for tomorrow and go to the original vet..Thats the first guy that I went to and I know he isnt an A-hole........

There are ways to treat Parvo for less money. You can bring her to the vet for fluids every day but care for her at home or you can have the vet show you how to give her sub-q fluids and do all of her treatment yourself. Whatever you decide, you have to do something quick as her chances of survival go down the longer she goes without any treatment.

Purchase the fluids and start giving them at home.

Did you get the test done to be SURE it's parvo?

CareCredit should be a less than five minute approval. I know I was approved on the spot, why are they making you wait?

I was wondering the same thing. I can only go by my experience, but I applied online and was approved within seconds. I hope you get it!

If you pup has to wait another day, her chances of making it will go MUCH further down the drain. I'm not sure why they would make you wait for approval on the medi card, that's really unfortunate. I've seen pups die within two days of starting to show symptoms. Sorry to say it, but she's suffering right now... if you can't get her medical attention ASAP, it might be best to have her euthanized. Even just looking at her picture I guessed parvo, she already has the dehydrated look. There is still a chance that it could be something else, but in any case, she needs help.

I'm sorry that you and your pup are going through this. I really hope she makes it. It's so hard to see how fast parvo can take effect. Working in a shelter you really learn to HATE PARVO!!!
