Which is best of the choices I have

Postby Chamon » Tue Dec 04, 2007 10:18 pm

Pet stores her only carry very minimal variety of foods, I feed Eukanuba because as far as I was aware it was the best?

Heres what I can get:

Eukanuba
Nutrience
Royal Canin
Hills Science Diet
Pro Plan

Which would you recommend of these?

Any advise appreciated!!

To be honest with you, I would not feed any of those, and order a better food online if they re not available at your pet store.
You might also be able to ask your pet store to order a particular food for you.

You might want to check up on these threads, about food:

None of the dry foods listed are available in New Zealand and I do not want to feed RAW so I guess I will stick with Euk.

i'd probably go with euk as well. do you have all the different varieties of it over there? my old dog, harvey, does really well on the premium performance active adult variety.

If you have a petsmart nearby?, I would recommend Blue Buffalo over all the other foods you listed.

***If your dog looks good, feels good, and has no gas or bad mushy stools, why change? Eukanuba is not a bad food, IMO. Believe it or not, some dogs do well on plain old Iams minichunks, and Euk is a step up from that, ingredients-wise. Plus, there's something to be said for feeding a food that is readily available and which tons of people use: that way, in case of a bad batch, you'll be more likely to find out faster than with a less popular brand.

Well no Petsmart here... and no luck on Diamond either...

We do have Nutra Gold... is that any good?

Spence does have terrible gas, I have been considering changing his food away from Eukanuba... unless gas is just an APBT thing that I should get used to??
