Brownie's in the hospital!!

Postby BrowniesMom » Sat Dec 29, 2007 8:01 pm

He ate his damn nylon leash, now has to have it surgically removed from his tummy  . I feel so awful. I thought I had gotten it all away from him, now this morning he starts throwing up and there are pieces in the vomit.

Get well soon, Brownie! I think I can guess what his New Year's Resolution should be-no more eating leashes. I sure hope the surgery goes well.

Yes, apparently the shreds and pieces I found were simply leftovers. It never crossed my mind that he had swallowed whole parts! Oy, I think he wants me to have a stroke.

Wishing you guys the best. I'm glad you got him to the vet, I'm sure lots of people would "wait to see how it all came out" in my area. Very irresponsible pet keepers around here.

Get well soon Brownie! And stick to cookies from now, sheesh, you'd think a leash wouldn't even taste good...

lol poor Brownie! I am sorry I know its not funny. Poor stingy greedy leash eating Booger! I hate when they do something like that. I hope the surgery goes well for you. Our old dog chewbacca ate a pin cushion full of pins...Not cool!

 Poor You and Poor Brownie! Brat!

Well, the surgeon just called and said everything went well. There was parts that unraveled and were all the way into his lower intestine... but he's got the thumbs up, and he'll be there til Monday probably. Thank God.

Glad he came through surgery. Xanny recovered pretty quickly from intestinal surgery (she had some kind sports equipment blockage). She was back doing weight pull a month later. I hope Brownie is back with you as soon as possible. It's great that you got him into the vet in time.

Oh I am so glad surgery went well!

Sending Brownie lots of healing thoughts for a quick recovery. Sending you hugs for the stresses our dogs put us through.
