I don't think you are overfeeding him, you just have a big boy Clearly your dog's genetics are on the bigger side than the normal APBT and there is nothing wrong with that!
Fletcher is larger than I expected he would get. His parents were average size 45 & 55 lbs. I thought he would be somewhere in that range. But his grandfather, which is the kennel's foundation dog is a big dog 80+ pounds. Fletch took on grandpa's size. We have a 6 generation pedigree on him which shows clearly a pit bull lineage. He is classic in appearance, if a bit big, and very athletic. He is 80 lbs at just over a year old.
