OK so since Theo had PARVO i did some research and stuff and the vet told me to give him high doses of omega 3 well it has turned his poop into white balls and the worst part about it when i go to pick it up it is pure powder just like what i am feeding him i have cut down the dose by 1/2 and it is still the same way? what does this mean??????

I feed Blue Buffalo fish and sweet potatoe. the omega 3 i give is in powder form because, he is not a fan of pills and he finds it to be very yummie in powder.
I have also seen this happen in dehydrated dogs but i know thats not his issue he loves water and still sometimes finds it to be a tiny pool to play and drink from . i stopped giving the omega 3 for a week and the powder ballness also stopped is this normal for powders or should i throw this stuff away and not continue using it?

Why not try getting gel caps that you can split open and squirt the contents on his food, if the powder is causing problems?

why not just supplement by using fish oil? its very high in omega 3 and my dog loves it on her food. I just buy the fish oil pills, cut it open and squeeze on her food. I put 1 1000iu on her food morning and night. gives her coat a great shine too

I would to the oil as well, for a "high dose" I'd consider that 3-4 1,000mg pills a day.
