Postby Mss_C801 » Tue Feb 05, 2008 8:05 pm

So on Thurs. 1/31 i took my APBT to get spayed. she wasn't in heat or anything, now i have a jack russel/pug mix, who never really tried humping her before and now as of today 2/5 Ava my pitty is all better but he keeps sniffing her crotch and trying to hump her.. i'm stumped.. why now??

any ideas as to why he is doing this?? it's REALLY annoying, i'm always yelling at him to stop! :po:

(this might fit better in either health or behavior, but)

Humping isn't sex, it's dominance. Her hormones are all wonky now, so he's probably just making sure she knows... er... who's her daddy.

I think it may be the blood smell.

This may sound weird, but my friend's spayed female dog got a foxtail up her vagina, cuasing it to bleed. My fixed male, who never humped anything in his life, tried to hump her. She obviously wasn't in heat, but maybe the smell of blood down ther triggered something?

Thats my theory.
