sick

Postby Jeff A. » Sun Feb 10, 2008 9:40 am

Tank for the past few days has been throwing up and refusing to eat.Hes hardly drinking any water.I took him to the vet yesterday and all his lab work came back normal. They gave me some "hills i/d" food and a script for sucralfate. They also told me to give him a 10mg pepcid AC 30 min before give the sucralfate.Im at a loss on what to do.Its been almost 24 hours since he's been back and he still wont eat.Whats weird is he will rarely try but he cant seem to swallow it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks -Jeff

Is there any way he could have eaten something that got stuck?

I would get a barium x-ray done, just in case. Regular x-rays don't always show blockages, and can waste time in finding the cause.

I'm so sorry. I hope he's feeling better. Xanny recovered from this type of surgery very quickly. I hope your wallet recovers soon, too.
