casting hair

my 9 month old girl mia is casting hair alot at the mo im thinking its mabey because spring is coming in and that she is loosing her winter coat is this right or is it something else?

yea, this is the time of year when a lot of dogs blow their coat. river's just started loosing hers.

Piper sheds constantly. A lot. No apparent difference between seasons. Sigh. :(

How come she isn't bald? I have this fear with Mina that she'll lose so much hair, I'll have to call her a Hairless Crested Pit Bull (crested, because I would definitely put a mop on her head, for looks). So far, she appears to have enough hair to spare.

I'm just thankful I don't have a Husky - my friend has to vacuum twice a day during the big hair blow-out and nearly every day during the rest of the year.
