Both dogs are at the vet :(

Postby pjrocco » Fri Apr 18, 2008 9:48 am

Just got a call from the wife that she had to take both dogs to the vet. They were playing and my male went to grab a toy out my females mouth and accidentally bit through her lip. She will probably need a stitch or two. Shortly after that my wife went to wipe off my male's paw since it was covered in mud and he yelped really loud and started to whine.

Poor puppers... :crybaby:

Aww, hope they're both patched up and feeling better soon!

My male has an open sore on his foot; probably from playing hard and training last night. ( It was the nicest day of the year so we were out from 5:00pm till 11:00pm) He is also allergic to grass!!!!! So we need to wipe his feet down every time he comes in the house, or every 30 minutes while he is outside. I guess there was a lot of people at the vet and the wife told me he was so scared he peed on himself... Poor pupper.

My female is fine... We just need to keep the open wound clean and keep a close eye on it. If it does start healing within the next 3 to 4 days she needs to go back and get a couple stitches. They checked her knees again and they have stayed the same for the last 14 months which is good news!

We will have to take it easy for a good week, but it is supposed to rain for the next 5 day or so anyways.
