I think Alonza may have intestinal parasites

Talk about diets, exercise, and disease.

Why? Do you know what they could be? Do you have a picture?

We took Alonza to the ER vet yesterday, because the bleeding was getting worse. They did X-rays and couldn't find anything. They think her colon may be infected and gave us antibiotic to clear it up.

She only pooped out those bugs one time. They were bugs that were in the horse poop that she had eaten.

Thanks. I hope they help too. They didn't find any abnormalities with her as far as examining her and doing X rays, so I pray they are right about the colon infection. She's not acting sick at all, but the blood in her diarrhea is alarming.

Wooo hooo!!! The metradonzale( sp?) worked to clear up Alonza's colon infection. Her poops finally look normal. No blood, no slimy substance and no diarrhea.

And no bugs?! So glad to hear it. I was getting increasingly worried as I read through each post on this thread.

Thanks guys!!

No, the bugs had nothing to do with it. She had eaten horse poop that had bugs already in it and then she just pooped them out. The bugs were only present in one stool.
