I cannot help but wonder how:

1.) You obtained sperm from a puppy that age
2.) How you "sold cups of sperm for a grand each." First of all, you don't sell sperm by the "cup," and secondly it would have to be artificially inseminated which is very rarely used in dogs and even if it was going to happen it would have to be stored and shipped by a vet who had the facilities to do that----so yeah, your lying there. Not to mention that sperm is sold in vials and even some of the finest show horses in the world sell sperm for less.

Nice try.

THIS is the reason why the breed is in such dire straights.

OP, have you even READ the Breeder's Code of Ethics!???
http://www.pitbullforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=49670

I seriously doubt you could even begin to live up to the standards of an ETHICAL BREEDER.

Since I posted in haste:

-Clarify that I meant the females would have to be artificially inseminated
and
-Sperm is usually kept in mL vials stored in liquid nitrogen.

So is flying dogs around the country to be fertilized by the stud of choice, while in heat, no less.
Remember, breeding quality dogs isn't about the money.

I have not even finished reading....

Say you do the health testing etc that is gonna be some cash out of your pocket well.....what if?

Are you prepared for an emergency c-section if need be? That can run over $1200, what if the bitch dies on the table are you ready to bottle feed a litter of pups? Do you know how much replacement milk costs?

From expereience, rescued pregnant bitch unable to have pups one got stuck in birth canal. Had to go to vet at 9PM, vet had to do an emergency c-section. Bitch died on table, vet got her back. Bitch went into shock needed blood transfusion (thankfully I had other Pit Bulls in the house)
Just that bill alone was $1278. Then you have the after care also new meds not included in previouse bill.

Then Bitch can't nurse pups so we have to bottle feed them getting up every two hours. Make them potty, burp them. No sleep for next 2 wks.
Replacement forumla for a large can $40 bucks. 2 cans a week.

Everything is well over $2500, this does not include the pups worming, shots, etc.

Do you think you are gonna get all that money back? HELL NO! Not even close.

selling sperm is still breeding..

those pups u're friend produce are part of your dog..they are part of you. you are responsible for those dogs, and thier futures.
