oh my, that's a big bump!

is it hard or soft? if soft, it could be as simple as a fatty tumor, which would be completely benign, but it could also be something more serious as well.

if you go to your vet, they should be able to do an aspirate (stick a needle in and take some fluid out) and test it to see if it looks serious or not.

poor girl, hope it's nothing bad!

I just did a search for sf bay area discounted vets and found this site:

http://vcapets.com/free_promo_google/?u ... HgodN2MzWg

if you call their number, you get a free checkup--maybe that's a good start? There seem to be a few in your area.

Hope your pup gets better :)

is she a pup? My ACD had something similar at around 9 months to a year old - and almost as protruding - it was pretty big. My vet said it looked like she had whacked her head on something... kinda like humans get goose eggs... Anyway it went away in about a week or two and came back once after outside play, but she is 4 now and I have never seen it again.

Good idea to get it looked at though.

I hope she is OK

I would take her to the vet as well. You can never be too paranoid about bumps like that.

Hey! Recognized your name from a reptile site.

Goodness, I hope little Bumpabella will be alright! She is mighty cute.

Ouch! Poor kiddo!

That looks painful! Did they give her any pain meds?
Wonder how it happened

It's back, at the same size?? How old is this dog?
Is there a chance she has some foreign body in there?

I'm confused. It is some sort of hematoma?

My first pit bull used to get hematomas on her chest all the time from ramming into things.
Good luck, I hope your baby gets all better soon.

Wow! What a Bump! Poor Pup! When I first saw the title to the post.. I Was thinking the "Smart Bump" as I call it. Some dogs have a Bigger bone on the top of there head, and it kinda comes up.. lol Then I saw ure pics... and Wow!

Beautiful Dog BTW.

But, I would suggest a Vet as well! Just to see if there is any Fluid or anything in there.
