Mint....Ok for dogs to eat?

Postby bamawrly » Wed Jul 23, 2008 3:59 pm

I just bought a peppermint plant and after putting it on the patio walked away for a minute. Goofy dog ate all the top leaves off.
Does anyone know if there is any toxicity with mint?

I know it's given to aid digestion. The only thing I've ever heard to watch for it in dogs who suffer from reflux, as it can trigger this.

Maybe he's self medicating! In that case maybe I'll get a mint bush for Rory too, LOL
