Flirt pole help

Postby Boo8mymoney » Tue Dec 04, 2012 5:29 pm

I was wanting to know what you all used as a flirt pole. Is there any Do's and Dont's I should know before making or buying one?
What sites or places do you recommend for flirt poles?

Thank You. :run:

You can make or buy one, it's a pretty easy concept, just need a pole with a rope. I use a lunge whip for horses, one of my dogs likes to chase the string, not a toy and I use one of those non stuffed squirrels for the dog that wants a toy to go after.

I made mine the same way. Super easy. The pole for mine is a bit longer, I think 6 feet, and I put a fleecy on the rope. Hands down, Marlo's FAVORITE toy.

I made a quick one last night (I will be making one/two from PVC today). Boo LOVED IT!!!! When she would catch the toy she went CRAZY and was so proud of herself :-)
I had to put it in my closet to hide it. LOL

I am hoping it will help her to form more muscle, but not bulk up to the point it looks like she is on steroids.

Our dogs love them so much that when we use the cat ones to play with the cats, we have to put the dogs up-they'll trample the cats (and probably my house too).

I think at the end of our's right now is one of those stuffingless stuffies...but the dogs have been going crazy lately with fleece, I think that might be a really good idea.

I went and bought the stuff and made two. One for Boo and one for my neighbor's dog. I will take her out in a little bit to try it. She is currently snoring next to me. I am sure if I got up and grabbed the pole should would wake up and be ready to go. but she is sooo cute when she sleeps. LOL

Boo loves socks and rags. I will tie one of those on the end.

Make sure to end the game before she loses interest, you want to keep it a lot of fun.
