Postby Daphnesmom » Wed Oct 31, 2007 3:19 pm

It's kinda a combo news item / training video clip, but it was on my sit means sit email (it's the same training Daphne gets, different trainer)....thougt it was pretty neat.

I like the bright green e collar! LOL. Of course, I did notice the stimulation - when the dog didn't comply immediately in the last part of the video and shook its head :)

No, it's not inhumane when used properly, but it's also very over relied upon.

yes, I wish mine was bright green....

I agree, weren't those bullies more in line with the hippos everyone agrees isn't good structure for the dogs? But they were cuties and it was nice to see them outside in public working politely amongst each other.

I *think* he had the collar positioned wrong in the end....at least it looks like it was too much on the side. I was taught to put it centered under her chin or she could get too much contact at one side or the other.

At least this was on Los Angeles television and portrayed them as good dogs when they aren't left alone in the backyard unsocialized as Lucian pointed out.....

I noticed the E collar too.
But the story was positive and upbeat to some degree, and really made a few statements that it is all in the training, and left outside they , like all dogs, can become not so good.

So those are more of the "hippo" style dogs, eh?
The one looked alot like a neo.mastiff mix to me..
They should of just called them a "bully style" dog, for those really arent "pitbulls"
Seems in joe publics eye everything that resembles a pitbull is labeled as such. Many dont realize they are all mixed up.
ah well.

we will take the positive either way wont we? :0 )
