I just got this email from the woman who is hoping to adopt her:
Sky didn't cry when you left as I put Caesar outside for a while and
played with Sky. She sure loves fetching. After I brought Caesar in I
kept Sky on a leash near me so I could easily separate them should the
need arise. They sniffed at each other but otherwise kept to
themselves. I went to bed about 10:45, taking Caesar upstairs with me
as usual and putting Sky in the crate. (I put her crate under the
kitchen table) She cried/whined/barked with little or no break. When
my son got home from work he took Caesar into his room as is customary.
Sky continued to whine/bark until 3 am when I couldn't take it any more.
I brought her up to my bedroom, she searched every crevice and corner.
Got the closet door open with her nose and rummaged around in there.
She went under one side of the bed and came out the other side. The
entire time I could hear her sniffing! This went on for about 20
minutes, but she was quiet! Then she jumped up on the bed and curled
next to me and didn't move until the alarm went off at 6:30 am. I took
her right downstairs and put her outside. She went over
and took care of business---both of them, and was back inside within 3
minutes! I played catch with her for about 30 minutes and then got
ready for work. When I left at 7:45 I put her in the crate with a treat
and assured her Caesar and his master would play with her in a few short
hours! All in all I thought it was a good first night!
Sorry for the length, but I thought you'd like to know how she did.
She is so beautiful and sweet. I really think Caesar will come around
in time. Thanks for allowing me the time to spend with Sky and
hopefully to adopt her.
SOUNDS GOOD SO FAR!!
