The price of a rescue dog.....

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

The price of a rescue dog.....

Postby Bruno26 » Tue Sep 02, 2008 8:15 am

~ Time taken to catch the loose dog running scared at full speed in the middle of a busy intersection = 20 minutes
~ Gas money driving to have him scanned for a microchip and to get him badly needed water = $5
~ Time spent making a comfy bed for him in a crate in the garage so he wouldn't have to sleep out on the streets for the night = 30 minutes
~ Dog food to quiet his starving tummy = $10
~ Time spent arguing with the boyfriend about bringing home a stray dog = 2 hours (LOL)
~ Time spent posting found dog reports = 1 hour
~ Cost of first vet visit = $145
~ Cost of treating him & the other 4 animals for the fleas he brought in the house = $75
~ Watching this innocent young pup make himself at home and share the love he has inside him = PRICELESS

There to stay huh? I guess, like in my house, that time spent arguing with the boyfriend usually ends up not mattering because you were going to keep him anyway!!! I chased a kitten in the yard two days ago but it was too fast! Thanks for rescuing!
