Toni - ADOPTED!!

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Toni - ADOPTED!!

Postby Sweet72947 » Sun Nov 09, 2008 5:04 pm

Meet Toni! She was found as a stray and was not claimed. She appears to be a purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Toni's favorite thing is to be touched by a human, any human! She's a little spitfire, and I think she would do great at weight pull! I had her playing with the flirt pole a little bit today. She is still not feeling 100%, so she didn't play that long. These pictures were from last week, so her teats have actually shrunk quite a bit since then. I think she's still recovering from a recent litter.

Toni has not been dog-tested officially, but I have let her sniff dogs through fencing at FOHA, and her hackles go up and her tail is held high, but she hasn't shown any outright DA so far. Toni can be cat tested if necessary, but I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to eat cats.

Without further ado, here's Toni!

She likes laps. :)

The sweet, innocent "pit bull" is about to be attacked by my friend, the vicious, rabid human!

That's all for now, but I have some others I need to resize, and they shall be posted!

She's adorable, looks like a small pit though and not a staffy. I love the wee ones! They are so compact and wonderful.

How do you tell the difference between small pit bulls and staffies?:huh?:

I look at pictures of her and staffies, and she looks just like them, although not quite as full muscled as a show staffy since she has obviously been used as a breeder dog and probably didn't get much exercise. :dunno:

She looks almost just like the guy in the pic on this page, at least to me.

Will she require plastic surgery or something to fix her nipples? They look like they could get tore accidently....

The way I tell is that they look all shrunk in the wrong places, like if you took a small pit bull and put them in a dryer. They look a little shorter and wedgier in the face. She seems to have a small well porportioned pit bull head and a small typey athletic pit bull body, not the little keggy staffy body. She should have more bone, be shorter and broader for her height. They are sporty looking muscular dogs with little piggy froggy bodies.

She looks too big, too tall, too sporty. She should be just over a foot tall if she was a female staffy and between 25-30 lbs. A 16" staffy is a big staffy and more dog than bitch. Bitches should be smaller. Her head is blocker, not wedgy like the dog in the picture you reference.

That's my take on it, she looks better than some of the show staffies I've seen but she looks like a small pit to me. If you want to know if she's a staffy, email some pics to staffy folks, they will tell you what they think.

I say small pit, not even pit/staffy. I think she's stinkin cute.

She is adorable! I agree with Amy - she looks like pit bull to me as well. :headbang:

I don't think so, they've actually shrunk considerably since these pictures have been taken. I should get some new pics so you can see. :) My friend took some pics last week, but she still hasn't gotten around to resizing them.

Thanks all for your thoughts on staffy vs. pit bull. Toni sure has the drive of a pit bull, she would make someone a great little sport dog! Easily portable. :))
