Foster desperately needed in BC Lower Mainland *graphic*

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Foster desperately needed in BC Lower Mainland *graphic*

Postby HugABull1 » Thu Nov 13, 2008 9:28 pm

I am putting out a plea to anyone who can open their home and their hearts to a very needy senior boy. This is a really nice dog, who's had a horrible life so far, and who shouldn't be sitting in a shelter. Kevlar is a Kong fanatic, and a total mushpot. He hasn't shown any reactivity to dogs in the shelter. He was accidentally put in a run with another, younger, intact male, and did not react, simply stood and stared at the other dog until it was removed. In the play yards, he lays by the fence to be near the other dogs. We haven't tested him for dog aggression yet, but suspect that he doesn't run very hot.

Kevlar is 7-8 years old. His life before making it to the shelter consisted of being beaten on by 3 younger, larger intact males.

These are pictures of Kevlar when he first came into the shelter

He has some problems with his ears, and HugABull will be working with the shelter, via our Lovely Fund, to have those taken care of, however HE NEEDS A FOSTER HOME.

Please, if you can open your home to a dog, contact us. You can do so by visiting our website http://www.hugabull.com, or by shooting me an email at danielle@hugabull.com.

no credit to me - the shelter took care of him. He's still in shelter. I'd like to pull him, but need a foster spot - our fosters are all currently full.

Kirstan, thanks for the offer, but the foster would need to be in the Lower Mainland or on the Island. However, if you know of any good private rescuers that might want to pull this boy, PM me and I'll give you the shelter details. :)

I'm delighted to say that we've found a foster home for Kevlar (who's name will be changing to something suitably soft, squishy and silly like him) :)

Stay tuned for updates.
