URGENT: Bonded Pair Mastiff mix and Jack russell

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Big Bertha and Little Lucy- URGENT
Big Bertha (A06369826) and Little Lucy (A06370490) are an adorable bonded pair that have been through a lot recently and desperately want to make it out of the shelter and stay together! Big Bertha is a chubby brindle female Mastiff mix 4-6 years old and Little Lucy is a petite tan and white female Jack Russell Terrier around 4 years old. This pair was heroically rescued from a building that caught on fire and no owner has come forward for them. Bertha and Lucy adore each other and when they see each other are all wiggly and happy- they give each other kisses, clean each others’ ears, and like to lounge in the sun together. They both seem housebroken but may need a refresher course on housebreaking once they get back into a home since they have gone through so much and are currently living in a kennel. Bertha and Lucy both seem to like other dogs, but love each other best. Like a true big sister and alpha female Bertha can be picky sometimes with new doggie friends. Bertha seems to be very friendly with cats, and Lucy is indifferent. This pair has been through so much- making it through a scary, dangerous fire, losing their home, losing their owner, they deserve to stay together and live out a happy, stress-free life. If you think you may be the right forever home for Big Bertha and Little Lucy, please contact Natalie at Natalie@Phillypaws.org. Photos at:

Bertha and Lucy are back with their owners!!

After the fire the owners (single dad and son) were staying at a shelter.... they came in to see the dogs and asked how long we would hold them, he said they were looking for a place to stay with the dogs...

so we had a foster lined up to take them at the end of the week just in case, but the dad and son duo found a place and picked up their dogs today!!

Its really a great outcome, we are very happy for this family and the girls :D

Whew! That is probably best for them. I'm glad this turned out so well!
