Stella - older girl

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Ok, I got Morgan to go with me today to make sure Stella is being brought in at night (she wasn't, but I brought her in). She let the cats at the shelter rub all over her and she is good with other dogs, not dominant, not really submissive, just seems like she wants to be. She is a little pokey and stiff, and definitely unsure of the shelter. But she was very grateful for the loving and handling. She currently weighs about 33lbs (per the crappy baby scale at the shelter). I had Morgan TT her and she excelled, no problem with all the handling, food, and new stimulus. I will have her kid tested, but I think she would be fine with them as well. Stella is a very mellow girl. Morgan feels she has terrible wormy belly versus the alternatives, and he agrees that we should have a vet check done, so he will also be bugging the shelter to do that. Stella is underweight, but not too bad, I think with some good food and a little exercise/grooming she will look good in no time.

Oh, I wish I could take her. I really, really do.

I'm in love with her eyes.

Should I post her to the BAND list? If so, send me a message with the info you want me to include! Hopefully someone can help.

OMG! Yes please! I am somewhat technologically inept, and I can't figure out how to post pics on the BAND. I'll send you a description and pics.

Stella is such a love bug!! Now that she has sort of settled into the shelter she is more relaxed and has become a total attention whore.

She is just a teeny, tiny pumpkin!

She so deserves a happy ending, I am keeping my fingers crossed for her.

If she can get to Vancouver, Canada we can take her (I work with Bully Buddies- www.bullybuddies.net). I love the oldies and we have a great foster home waiting to take in a mellow, older pooch.

I'm not very adept at organizing transports from the States as we typically stick to local dogs, but if she needs an option we can help.

If we can get Stella to Oregon she can go to Bullybuddies.

Anyone live between Colorado and Oregon who would like to drive a fantastic girl to a safe place?

Stella is simply blossoming. She is so happy for affection, she is right up at the front of her kennel as soon as she hears people coming outside. You can't miss her happy wiggles. She is great with all the dogs at the shelter, and is definitely a benevolent older gal.
