Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

How's her temperament and how much would it be to adopt her?

The adoption fee is $100, with a $75 refundable spay/neuter deposit. I have only been told that she did "great" when they tested her with dogs/cats. For more details, please contact the rescue coordinator Sharon Lohman at slohman@pacbell.net.

Rambler, I've had no offers. I can board her for a week or two for $9/day (with an offer of $5/day received already to offset boarding costs), but I can't justify pulling a dog without having somewhere for her to go. I've debated asking my landlord if I could temporarily board her here, but same issue when that time is up. You can't win them all. :frown:

Here's the shelter contact info: http://www.co.merced.ca.us/index.asp?NID=163. Believe it or not, you can call them with a credit card number & adopt over the phone. That's what I did with my kitten.

That's fantastic! When are you bringing her home?

Yay!!

I sometimes will e-mail them little updates on Booker, like when he got his CGC and when he passed the therapy dog test. I think it is really important that awesome breed ambassadors get out from shelters like this so that not only the staff but then the local public can see what kinds of dogs "shelter dogs" can be.

She is such a cute thang. Now you have to post more photos of her.

The shelter is moving locations and will be euthanizing EVERY animal in a drastic disease prevention measure. If you're in California and know anyone looking for a dog or cat, PLEASE have them check out Merced's petharbor.com page. There are dogs/cats of all ages/sizes/breeds!
