Mickey Mouth - Can you help?

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Mickey Mouth - Can you help?

Postby lpyrbby » Wed May 20, 2009 12:32 pm

We met Mickey on May 7th and fell in LOVE! Right now, Mickey looks a little scary at first but it's anything BUT his fault.

We aren't sure what happened to Mickey. He was brought into the shelter as a stray with his lip and a portion of his nose already missing. The area is VERY clean, almost like he had received previous vet care for his injury. There are no other scars on his body that really indicate he was used for baiting or fighting so we can't make the assumption. No matter the reason, Mickey is a wonderful boy! And because of that, we want to give him a new face!

We've been in contact with the NCSU Veterinary College and they feel Mickey's face can be fixed with reconstructive surgery! How exciting is that!?

We need your help though! The typical cost of the surgery runs between$2,400 and $3,000! Mickey also needs to be treated for heartworms which is an additional $500 expense. Any donation helps!

Are you interested to see what could be the outcome for Mickey? Bama Bully Rescue in Alabama had a similar dog come through their rescue. They got their boy in for surgery and he's now in a forever home! Anything is possible!Check out Gabe's before and after pictures below:

Now, take a gander at sweet Mickey here and just IMAGINE the possibilities! You can make a difference in his life!

Remember, New Hope Pit Bull Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization so your donations are 100% tax deductible!

Let's give this boy the smile he deserves!
