Sacchi was found in Petersburg VA by a nice policeman. She had a badly broken back leg and was so happy to see him and get help. He took her to a the shelter and she was transferred to a vet clinic. Since her leg was too badly broken to be splinted, we opted to have it amputated. She is now a three legged girl with one back leg missing. The break was at the top of the femur and was in too many pieces.
Despite having a collar and tags, her owners never showed up to claim her or even find out what happened to their puppy. She's about 4 and a half months old. She has now been spayed and vaccinated and is in foster care in Harrisonburg VA. Sacchi is going to be a smaller sized pit bull when she finishes growing. She will likely only be about 35-40 lbs. Her pictures and video were taken today (10/15/2009) post surgery, there will be new ones soon.
She's a sweet brown brindle puppy with some white on her chest and toes. She's pretty laid back. Loves attention and treats. She is crate trained and very quiet in her crate. She's had to endure it a lot in her healing time. She is being fostered in a home with other dogs and is learning her manners and social skills. She is a really sweet puppy. She's spayed, fully vaccinated and on Hw prevention.

Love those little white toes.
