[RETURNED!]!! 1 adorable female rednose - North Texas

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

[RETURNED!]!! 1 adorable female rednose - North Texas

Postby lucydog » Tue Nov 03, 2009 7:34 am

So, I took these two foster puppies because there was a big animal cruelty bust, and the county was in a huge rush to kill all the pit bills. I ended up having them much longer than I wanted to because they had a terrible case of hookworms - even my vet was vexed by them. One got adopted but now she is coming back  - not to her own fault, due to personal issues of the adopter. She is also mostly white but with a red nose and a red patch on her eye.

I really, really need to get these dogs out of here and into a good home. They deserve more attention than I can give them and after all this was supposed to be temporary! They are very, very sweet and have good dog manners - both weigh 28 lbs now and are 6-7 months. They play well with other dogs and are submissive.

Here is Deedee - she is not in Nacogdoches, she is near Dallas. Please contact me @ mail (at) lucydog.com if interested.

Due to a Christmas Miracle, the girls were adopted! One the day after Christmas and the other on New Years Day.
I seriously thought it would never happen. They were on petfinder through a local group here, and the lady who runs the group like an angel found homes, both people she knows. Both homes had mellow older male Pit mixes and when introduced they loved the puppies and the puppies loved them.

I am hoping and praying it works out. I got the red puppy back once already.

Although, it's pretty quiet here with no puppies. We are down to a more normal number of dogs (4) and I hope to keep it that way for a while!

It is! I have heard back from both families, and the girls and their new pit mix housemates are totally smitten with each other. DeeDee hasn't even had an accident in the house! Her dad is thrilled. Although he is finding his hats and shoes out in the back yard (I warned him that she is a thief!).

Oh and I also found out their mom is still alive and was adopted by the foster family permanently. She had really bad heartworms but she is doing well. Nice to see every now and then things turn out OK.

OK, the little red foster puppy has been returned a second time. It's not her fault - this home was not as stable as I thought. The crazy thing is, she is a good, mellow puppy. She loves other dogs, and just likes to hang out. Really she's not much trouble but we already have 4 and she deserves more than I can give her.

Here she is:

By now she will be a year old around April. She's probably 45 lb. fully grown. Now she is totally healthy, spayed and has all her shots.

Please, if anyone knows a STABLE and responsible home send them my way!

Poor thing. When we got her from the "puppy mill" raid in August, she was smaller than our Boston, now she is about 3X his size.
