Fanny the Granny...OREGON (ADOPTED)

She is mostly content. She is loose in the dog room tormenting Norman when he is crated. We have the crazy rotation until she leaves. And she hates her time in the crate. HATES it. But she is doing well.

WOW!! She hates her crate? Weird because she not ONCE made a peep in her kennel at the shelter. Oh Norman, how is he doing?!

Norman is great. I LOVE that dog. What a big goob he is. And very well behaved. For a goob he would very much like to eat the kitties, please. but we have had some stern discussions about that.

Crates are TOTALLY different than a kennel though. I put her in my biggest one which is like, great dane sized..but she really hates it a lot. She's fine loose, though, aside form occasional urges to free herself and come visit the rest of the house.

Kirstan, she has met Murph and Norman uneventfully. Interested. but just that.

She is doing VERY well. If a bit of a containment issue in the house she gets laong very well with Noraman so they get to hang out in the dog room together.

Seriously, she's being a boob about the crate? We had her at the Town Center with us and she was in a wire crate without a peep. Whenever she wasn't handled, she laid in her crate and watched the world go by. Oh well, she gets to hang with Norman which is waaayyyy more fun anyway.

You and i both know that shelter and home behavior are two very different things. If I forced it on her she would probably be fine long term. But i don't see a reason to. She also thinks baby gates are useless. Goes right through 'em and lets herself into the rest of the house.

Now the baby gate thing doesn't surprise me at all...why let them stop you...heck they're just barely parked there

Bump for Fanny...She told me that her one and only Christmas wish this year was to find a forever home of her own. I told her I would work on that for her

She's a cutie! I sure hope she gets a home - if only she was ok with cats! We've been discussing possible "senior rescue" with my mom. . . fingers crossed for that perfect home!

She would be MANAGABLE with cats if someone were savvy and committed to it. If they aren't moving, she ignores them.
