Cayden came to the pound after spending some time visiting with people eating at the local Sonic.
He was at the pound for a few months but is now being fostered. He has learned manners and some dog obedience. The best we can determine of Cayden’s past was that he was probably an outdoor dog where his owners did not spend a lot of time with him. He lacked manners when he first came, but has greatly improved with his foster moms guidance.
We would like to see Cayden go to a home where his new family will carry on with his dog obedience. We are looking for a family that is familiar with the breed and a previous dog owner that will be a leader that can help Cayden reach his full potential.
Cayden is a good boy, he is loving and playful. He is a quick learner and will do what you ask of him. He has already learned to give paw, high five, wave bye-bye, spin, back up and roll over. He is also learning some agility obstacles: teeter-totter, dog walk and weave poles. He will sit, down, stay, come & will wait to be released for his food (pictured) or before going through a door, getting out of his crate or going up or down stairs. He also knows the commands “leave it” and “quiet”. He is housebroken & crate trained. He is doing very well with learning to get his nails trimmed and his teeth brushed. He will let you brush him too.
Cayden loves everyone but because he is at times rambunctious, we would say no to a family with very young children. Cayden likes other dogs and would do fine with a laid back dog in the home. He gets over excited if another dog is hyper and he himself will tend to get just as excited forgetting his manners.
He is neutered and up to date on shots. He has Frontline applied to him monthly. His adoption fee is $75.00 through the Buffalo City Pound. Contact Cheryl at stingess@hotmail.com Please put “Cayden” in the subject line.
