*ADOPTED* Russell the lil heartthrob!

This handsome little boy is Russell. He was found by a good Samaritan in Miami-Dade (where pit bulls are illegal) chasing after cars. He's SO cute! We estimate him to be about 10-12 weeks old, he still has all his baby teeth. He's incredibly smart and thinks he's a labrador. He loves picking things up and carrying them around in his mouth. He also plays an excellent game of retrieve! He knows how to sit on command, sleeps in his cage quietly throughout the night and is doing well in the house. He sits nicely to get his leash on and before he goes outside. He is a little mouthy, as most puppies his age seem to be, but once you show him his toys, he's just fine.

We're not sure of his breed, possibly an American Bully, based on his structure (he's very stocky!) and he'll probably be quite a big boy when full grown.

Thanks everyone!! I already got an application on the little guy! Fingers crossed their home check & reference checks turn out well. I spoke to the family at length this evening, they are pit bull savvy, are baby sitting their daughters 18 mo old pit bull for a few weeks, own a home with 3/4 acre, are very knowledgeable about training (R+!) and love the breed!!

Home fell through, Russell is still looking for his forever family! He'll be neutered on Jan 18 and can go home the following weekend after some time to heal!

Before logging on today I was on the American Temperament Test Society website. I would copy and paste the name of a dog into Google's image search. Could Russell be one of these three? Are those common in the area he was found?

Because I agree, he looks like he's going to be a very big boy!

My best friend owns Presa's and she said he doesn't look like them. She owns & raises (she doesn't breed, but helps the breeder where her dogs came from to raise litters) presa's and even has a brindle male right now. We were kind of thinking a bullmastiff mix? He doesn't have the black mask that they usually have. Who knows, he's a monster though! Took him in to be neutered and the girls all thought he was a 4-5 mo old - he's barely 3 months!! He's so super sweet though, just hope we can find him a good home! Someone looking for a big boy!

Still available! We've done an event last weekend and another yesterday, got lots of interest in him yesterday, but no calls back today to go further in the adoption process. We were asked by someone with a bullmastiff if that's what he was, as theirs evidently looked just like him as a baby...so that's what we're listing him as now - pit bull/bullmastiff mix.

He's meeting his potential new family tomorrow. Fingers crossed, this boy would hit it BIG! They live 2 blocks from the Ocean, and be the only furkid! Bully-savvy home, and had excellent references. He deserves a good home, he's such a good boy!
