Daisy Mae - Sacramento!

Daisy Mae is a little Pit Bull with very bulldog features. She's a shortie! Stout and cute, with a short muzzle, beautiful brindle coloring, and the confidence of youth. We pulled her from the Sacramento City Shelter -- where she came in VERY pregnant. The shelter gave her a spay/abort. Her previous owner debarked her (but I am not sure why, since she doesn't seem to bark excessively).

She seems okay with other dogs and is currently being fostered with another dog (and cats -- but those introductions are going VERY slowly). She does tend to show some high prey drive, however (i.e., she LOVES them squirrels) so a house with cats or other small animals might not be a great match, unless there's an experienced owner.

She's currently learning her leash manners and getting all the basics. She's outgoing and confident, but a bit on the reserved side (i.e., she doesn't body slam you and drench you with kisses in typical Pit Bull fashion). She's more the "what's over there? Oooh, it's nice hanging out! Let's take a stroll!" type

LOL. I agree. She is a cutie! She's actually so far shown herself to be a pretty easy dog. Relatively quiet (the debarking makes her even quieter -- unfortunately). She doesn't seem to chew inappropriately. She takes treats gently. She responds to verbal corrections nicely. She's pretty mellow.... she has an aversion to bathwater, however. LOL. (She puts on the breaks until the human agrees to go in with her) LOL

Poor girl needs her forever home, so please help spread the word! She's such a tiny, stout little girl. You can almost fit her in your purse (okay - one of those ridiculously BIG purses... but still a purse!) LOL!

She is reasonably good with other dogs -- even females -- once she warms up to them. She's somewhat reactive to other dogs ON leash and she cannot be in a home with small animals like cats or toy dogs. She has, however, romped with larger dogs both male and female.

she knows basic commands, is housebroken, microchipped, spayed, and on HW preventative!

What are her adoption requirements? Could she go out of State? I have someone in mind, but their app has not been processed so I cannot recommend her yet.

yes, we do out of state adoptions on occasion. Carla Lou (Pinups for Pitbulls - before there was a Pinups for Pitbulls) was one of our "out of state" adoptions
