your healing thoughts requested for puppy Jack

PNWPBR has an amazing little puppy named Jack. He came to us in the beginning of January as the most handsome little white bundle of puppy. A happy, healthy, wonderful little boy. He has grown in our foster homes, has been loved and cared for in the best way we know how.

Last night, while in his soon to be adoptive home, Jack started acting sick. Today, he tested positive for Parvo. It is completely bewhildering - a healthy 18 week old pup, who has recieved all of his vaccines on time. Living in foster care, not going out in places where he would be in danger of contracting parvo. And yet here he is, now suddenly in a fight for his life.

Our little Pepper Jack needs all the positive thoughts everyone can muster. He will get better - we will accept nothing less.

He is responding very well to his treatment. We will have to see what the next several days bring, but we cannot help but be very encouraged by his response and hopeful that he will be all better very soon!

Pacific Northwest Pit Bull Rescue Update: Jack, one of our program dogs contracted Parvo. Yes, the virus that is almost always deadly if not treated quickly. Jack was current on all 3 of his vaccinations, and still managed to become sick. Since then with lots of fluids, medication and of course lots of love, Jack has made a complete recovery!

Dogs like Jack benefit from your donations. Jack's recovery was completely funded out of the rescues savings account and any help is appreciated.

Jack is back with his Trial Adopters and doing great! We at PNWPBR would absolutely fork out the moolah we did to save Jack again and again, but we cannot continue to do so without support and donations.
