Urgent Placement needed, Am Staff male 1yr. EASTERN WA

Rex is 1yr. old unneutered male, his owner moved and left him in the lower Yakima Valley, Rex was purchased (apparently) from a Pet store as a puppy and his owner left him at the owner's Grandmother's house.
They have stuck him in a (roomy) horse trailer - and on Monday he will be dropped off to the Humane society in Yakima where he'll likely be PTS
We have no room at all and in fact just got a senior Doberman Pinscher from the shelter today.
I can help arrange transport however, if I can find a placement for this beautiful boy who has never met a stranger!
He is a big love bug, played with the Grandma's Labrador, she said they just wrestled. He is living next to a feed lot, Grandma has no fenced yard, and that's why he's kept in a trailer for now.

*sighs* I wish we had room. If I could get these damn "show dogs" somewhere we would. Until then..we are packed to the gills.

The only (few) replies I have gotten are telling me they are full...except the one rescue in Idaho who claimed they don't take "strays" (he's not a stray) but pull dogs from shelters only.

I am out of ideas.

Can they drop him off a shelter where he will be given a chance to be adopted? Geez. Why take a dog to that shelter if they know he will be PTS.

Because there are no other shelters in our area...the only other one "close" is over 40 miles from the dog and they don't accept owner surrenders Oh and there's BSL there too, in two of the cities.

But he's not an owner surrender?! He was abandoned, I thought

Well, yes and no, I mean he'd have to have been picked up as a stray IN that town (one of the 3 towns-Tri Cities).
He's technically an OS and he's not even from Tri Cities.
Yakima takes owner surrenders with a $10.00 fee.
