OH - My Pitt Is Itt Rescue???

Postby Victoria » Thu Apr 08, 2010 12:29 pm

I am hoping someone on here is familiar with a person who has what appears to be a rather small rescue in Ohio called My Pitt is Itt. I'm needing some info. Feel free to respond here, PM me, or send me an email victoria@pnwpbr.org

Thanks so much!

I don't know anything about the group, but the simple fact that they can't spell Pit properly is pretty questionable. If anyone is running a Pit Bull rescue, the least they should be able to do is spell the name of the breed properly. Oh and ask about their 501c3 status. Just because they have "Rescue Organization" in their name doesn't mean they are legit.

I did not care for the spelling either. I have since found the info I was looking for however, and the people running this small rescue are responsible and experienced with the breed.... but like all of us who do rescue, they have room to learn more as they go along.

I do understand what you are saying, but at the same time -the rescue I volunteer for is not 501c3, and yet is very much a legit rescue.

501c3 sometimes just means they had the funds to file.

True.

I know a cat rescue that just spent nearly 5k on getting her 501c3. Some rescues aren't large enough to validate spending that much $$ when they only place a handful of dogs a year.
