Meet Swan--Pit Bull/Shar Pei mix in Houston

[Pit Chick]

Miss Swan was in a high kill shelter when she was pulled by a rescue group. She had no hair (don't know why) and her teets showed evidence of overbreeding, so much so, she had to have a breast reduction because they continued to sag even after being spayed. She weighs about 60lbs, is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative. She is very friendly and outgoing with people, but she needs to be an only pet. It's hard to tell from the pics, but the only thing Shar Pei about her is her eyes, and the distinct fuzz Shar Peis have on their nose and toes and her lips are a little droopy. Oh god, a hairless pit bull. I hope no bybs see that and decide to start breeding them on purpose. Thank goodness she's been saved and grown her fur back. I think Swan is a beautiful name for her.

Geez, that's all we need.

The fur she has now isn't like that of a Pit Bull or a Shar Pei, it's pretty much just baby fur, really soft to the touch. I know some people are allergic to Shar Pei fur, but hers is allergy friendly.

Last I heard she was going to yet another foster home. She's been bounced around because she is dog aggressive. I guess the concept of crate-n-rotate never crosses people's minds, they just expect all of the animals in their house to get along or else it's out the door.
