Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???
As far as the deployment thing, there are programs (sometimes through shelters) that will care for dogs while their owners are deployed. I don't know anything about Utah, but it would be worth researching ahead of time, just in case.
For example: https://www.netpets.org/militarypet/foster.php
Oh my goodness!!!! Thank you, I didn't realize there was anything like this out there but now that I know i'm going to look into it. I'm one of those people that need a plan A B And C or otherwise i will stress about it.

There is also Guardian Angels for Soldiers Pets that fosters your dog(s) while you are deployed. You get them back when you return. I am a foster mom for them along with a rescue.
