Paola....

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Paola....

Everyone....Please meet ID#A1329372, located at MDAS. The shelter has named her Paola and they believe she is two years old. My rescue is committed to taking this baby in but we need your help to do it. First off, Paolo has one of the worst cases of mange I have EVER seen. She is bleeding, sore and don't let the peaceful look on her face fool you, she's in a great deal of pain. The shelter is no place for this dog.

A lot of rescues would shy away from this case, there are a number of things working against her. Paolo is a pit bull, have very severe mange and is in MDAS. Without us, her chances are slim to none. But we need your help to save her life. Because she is coming out of MDAS, we need a quarantine foster that has NO dogs, or someone who works in a vet office who knows how to properly quarantine a dog.

If you can help out or know a family member that can foster this dog, please please call/text me at 561-635-9525 or PM me.

My rescue will more than likely be taking her in. Depending on what our vet says, she will be going into medical boarding for two weeks, that will also serve as her quarantine period. MDAS is having a nice distemper and parvovirus outbreak, so every dog pulled from there is being treated as if they have distemper and parvovirus.

So sad and sickening what these dogs go through.

We're taking her but need donations to give her all the vetting she desperately needs! The mange treatment and boarding alone comes out to just over $500. That's not including her pull fee, spaying and whatever other medical issues she may have!

Please if you can spare $5, do it for Paola!

Poor baby, and I hope she recuperates completely!

I do like her name as is; I think Paola suits her.

She should make it through fine, given she doesn't come down with distemper.

And I don't know what it is about her name, I just don't like. And after visiting her and seeing her personality, it doesn't fit. I hear Paola and think of a fiery dog that has attitude for days. She isn't like that. I would say she has an old soul. She incredibly gentle and just looks wise beyond her years. And I think an old vintage Hollywood name would fit.

How about Sophia? its a popular name now, but also reminiscent of Sophia Loren.

Honestly, at first glance to me she looks like an Athena. An old soul, and a heavenly soul. Just her facial expressions in those two pictures show her peaceful strength.
Good luck with her, what ever name she decides to come to. She looks like a sweetheart, thanks for getting her OUT!! :clap
