St. Louis, MO area rescue???

Hey all! Does anyone know of a pit bull friendly rescue in the St. Louis area? I rec'd an email from a very sincere lady who needs help placing her dog. She is losing her house and has tried everything possible to place her dog with friends or family and had no luck. Unfortunately, I'm in Cleveland, Ohio and we have enough homeless pit bulls in our city so I cannot justify taking one from St. Louis!!! I told her that I'd try to find a rescue near her to contact...any suggestions ???

I dont know of anyone in the area that is in a position to take on owner surrenders. I know that any one of us would be happy to help list and screen people but as we all know it is not a quick fix. It is taking well over a year to place dogs around here right now.

I personally dont agree with a lot of Stray Rescue's placements and temp testing but no one is ever gonna always agree on that stuff. MPR is in KC. Muttsnstuff is a local rescue but they are swamped as well as we are. We have changed our focus to speuter rather then rescue and placement.
