Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Sweetie pie LuLu ~ CO

Postby FearSheeple » Sun Apr 23, 2006 6:37 pm

I fostered this girl for a week, a month ago, and can tell you~ she is 100% sweetheart! At first she was very nervous, and would crawl on the ground everywhere... even crawling up to people so she could get some loving. After only one week, she had really started to come out of her shell. She really loves people, and had a blast hanging out at my office. She especially loves playing with other dogs (unfortunately, mine wouldn't comply! lol ) and was at her most happy romping around with a buddy. She loves rolling over for some belly rubbing... and oh boy! What a kisser! This girl loooves to give out the bully kisses! With all the BSL around here, it's really hard to find good homes, so I hope someone here will know of someone looking for a beautiful, young, sweet girl.

I spoke with Stephanie tonight (her current foster). She's calling our references and setting up an interstate home check. No small task I am sure, but once done I think we'll be good.

From the sound of Lulu's temperament she should get along well with Popeye. Looking for ward to their first introduction. Popeye is always amazing with meeting new dogs.

So the rescue is cool with out of state adoptions?

Yeah. If we work out, we will be the second one they have done.

Out of state is okay because there is a lot of BSL around here, and it's extremely hard to find good homes... and good homes that are in towns that are safe from possible BSL. (ones that aren't home rule)

Popeye~ that would totally kick ass! She's an awesome little girl. It was kind of an emergency foster situation, Stephanie didn't have room for a week, and we needed to get her out of the shelter NOW. She wanted a longer break for her dogs, and I'm not really set up for a foster situation... but she is such a special girl, we knew we had to get her out. I was at the shelter and she rolled over in my lap and looked up at me with her beautiful eyes and I knew I was in trouble! I hope it works out!!!

Lin~ Annie is such an awesome girl, you should contact them- she's a very cool dog!

Good luck!

She's adorable! I know the crop job is a bad one... but I think those ears are sooooo cute!

I know, bad crops are sad in a way...but oddly enough, they can be really cute! They add a lot of personality to the dog, just like any defining trait.
