Faith in Ontario

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Faith in Ontario

Postby karini » Fri Jul 07, 2006 3:45 pm

This is a WONDERFUL girl who has been in foster care with our rescue for months!! No idea why - this girl is awesome! She has just moved to another foster home that is very expereinced in training, so we hope to make her even more adoptable that way.... If you can think of anyone looking for a wonderful female brindle ! Think of Faith!!! She is 2 yrs old - spayed and UTD on shots... Great with dogs, unknown with cats

Faith is still looking for her forever home. She has passed her beginner training like it was the easiest thing in the world for her. I should have put her in intermediate right away. Here are some pictures of her in class on her graduation day.

Faith doing sit stay.

Heel, stand, stay.

Relaxing with the other pittie in the class while the teacher talks.

Faith won the competition for the faster sit, down, sit, stand combination.

Here she is with her medal she won.

Sitting nice for picture.

No more pictures Ma! I wanna go play with my friends!

Oh no...why is she muzzled in class? :( Do the obedience classes there not allow pitties to be off muzzle?

Ironic, that she wins the best sit stay award, and she's muzzled???? That law totally sucks.

Yes some schools require the pitties to be muzzled. At first I hated that and was looking for another school after the ban went through but in all honesty this is how they have to live their lives now. They learn real life stuff in class not just sit and down. They learn stuff that they will use outside of the house so it makes sense to do it with their muzzles on. It is also good for them to learn dog intros and how to great people with their muzzles on. One of my dogs has problems meeting other dogs and people with her muzzle on so it really helped her a lot.

Ironic, that she wins the best sit stay award, and she's muzzled????

Yes it is ironic. I work hard with my dogs so my favorite part of class is seeing everyone avoid me on the first day and then beating them at all the challenges. Usually by the end of the session everyone loves them so at least we are helping to chance some minds :)
