Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Smiling Coconut!!

Postby pittymomma » Tue Jul 03, 2007 4:58 am

When the AC facility where Hank and BamBam called asking us to please come see a female they had in - we knew she was going to be Aces!

I just love it when shelters are proud of themselves that they are "able to pick the good ones" I get extra fuzzy inside when we say yes to the dog and they start beaming!!

This shelter has an arrangement with the courts that young offenders that have to do community service can come there and work with the dogs - LOVE IT!!

Coconut had one young fella who was smitten with her and he wants to volunteer with BIn at events and walk. Meeting Coconut and working with her he has also decided that he wants to get on the staright and narrow and become a vet so he can help future dogs like Coconut.- made my day!!

Without further rambling here is our new gal. She is not up for adoption yet, she needs to get healthy and have entropic surgery done and he tail never stops so it keeps on splitting.

Shes 5-7 years old and is great with humans and kids and dogs and cats- YIPEE!! she can scale fences though.

Thank you Coconut for showing Adam that life is better when you are snuggling a bully rather than passing hours behind bars

Keep an eye on those brats ! lol

She looks like she's been really neglected. I don't know anything about entropic eyes. Is that something she was born with and had to live with all this time ?

Coconut looks like a very special dog! What a beauty. It's great that she helped that boy straighten out...hope he stays that way. Coconut deserves a great home. Hope surgery goes well and she finds her forever home soon!

:inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

She's GORGEOUS!!! You guys going to give her tail a chance at life or are you going to go ahead and crop it? (Personally I'd probably just do away with it and call her a wannabe Boxer, but I may have a bias there. lol )

That sounds like an awesome program too...love to see the "underdogs" pair up and both benefit from doing so.

OMG she's flippin adorable! Good luck with surgery and way to go for giving everyone a second chance!

She looks like she has skin issues too, poor girl. Whities can be so hard with the skin issues. Constant battle around here!

Coconut is doing fabulous!! She has put on about 5 lbs and her coat is getting a shine back to it. She is also great with the 3 female resident bullies and the one male resident bully and ALL the puppies...

She still isn't ready for adoption so stayed tuned for updates on this gal
