aww the poor girl!!

But FIRST AND FOREMOST QUARANTINE THE DOG.

you have NO idea what parasites, etc she may be carrying.
so put her in a crate in an area away from all your animals.!!!!

Dont feel sorry for her. but until she is vet checked quarantine!!!!

I do a health and behaviour quanantine for TWO COMPLETE weeks before any of my dogs see anything but me and the backyard.

At first they are freaked out..they need time to get calm and realize you are there to help her and she can trust you.
DO NOT have kids, cats, dogs, anything around her until she knows she can trust in you.

Big mistake many people make, they feel so "sorry for the dog" they bring the dog into their home,
and think of what the dog is thinking?

holy moly who is this stranger trying to get me to eat..what are these other dogs..and what are these cat things..and the busy kids..omg! they think and the defense goes up for they think they are in the middle of chaos.

TWO weeks, then you can see the "real and more" honest personality of the dog.

To the VET and your backyard.. NO where no BODY else!!

there is ...and thats why I love you all :))
Heres the girl now, We are on our way to go see if she's chipped and then well go from there. He right ear is sooooooooooooooooo bad it looks like a do it yourself crop.....you can see it in the pic and from the side there is almost nothing left to it ...poor baby makes me not want to find them but maybe she was already resuced... QUESTION Do there nipples go back to normal or does the "sag" depend on how many litters, because they are BAD.

Nippies can get smaller with work. Take a look at Enigma's girl's before & after photos (sorry, I can't remember the dog's name)

What a pretty little girl! Definitely looks like a 'do it yourself' crop to me...jeeze her ears look sliced right off.

Nipples really depend. They DO tend to shrink, but never back to the size they were before pups. A lot of it can depend on how many litters and how big the litters were. Her body is probably really worn/stretched out.

Good luck!

WHAT A GOOD GIRL SHE IS OMG!!!!!! We walked up to the vet and it dawned on me " not your dog dont know how she is with others" So the vet tech was nice enough to come out and NO CHIP.She said she looked to be no older then 3 but a young 3 and she was pissed about her ears and said she has been WAY over breed. She looks old, tired ans worn out...poor lil'Love. But great on a leash and had a run in with on of my cats on the way back into the garage and didn't care at all til Shiba thought she was the usually bad ass that she thinks she is and hissed stocked then ran but I yelled NO and she didn't move. Her are some better pics of how BAD the ears are and just her in the car.The road thats shes looking at the 6 lane hwy thats where he found her and she badly needs a bath

God, she is so adorable. It’s sure a shame about her ears though - they way they cut them reminds me of a bit of how some Cane Corsos are cut.

Are you looking into rehoming her or is she a potential keeper? You already sound so attached ;)

Of course temperament tested, this is the thing.Being thats shes a pit does spark this a bit more but I don't care if it was a hamster I'd feel the same way about it. Kyle found her is a REALLY nasty area, dirt bag drug dealer live there and all the bums. What if she got away from something bad and I find them and place her right back in it... I'd hate myself. But then on the other hand what if she's already been recused and I'm taking her away from someone?
We're kinda up in arms about this one.
She's been eating and drinking great, she pooped in the garage twice between 10pm and 6 this morning but not gonna bother with the now, for all we know its been days sense she last ate and that would make anyone have to go THEN AND NOW, but it looks good (for a better lack of words) its not lose and no worm (I know that doesn't mean much but a good sign)

Right now I just want her skin to clear up :frown:

She could have a yeast infection or bacterial infection of the skin.
A vet can tell you that..its a cheap and easy dose of meds to fix.

And please dont even ATTEMPT to temperment test this dog before the 2-3 weeks! It s a fast set up for failure!

Did you get the kitty article I sent ya?

and pssssssssssssst
I know it is hard..but let her cry it out a bit.. she will be fine. She needs you to be solid and strong FOR her, not soft and coddling or she will see you as a wealing!

youre doing great!

Oh no I'm not going NOW I'm going to do what you said I just meant that IS something that will be done. and I let her cry, I have a 6 year old, I hate it but I'm pretty good at ignoring it too ;)
Yeah I got it,only got about half way throu. and I dumped a mostly empty soda on my laptop :crybaby: right now I dont know if its dead or not.I'll find out tonight after I get it to my I.T. guy, but I'm gonna print it out at work later...thanks again forever thing
