Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Transportation question

Postby Lula » Thu Jan 10, 2008 8:14 pm

I have been working closely with a good long time friend of mine who started a non profit 501 c3 rescue. For about a 2 years she has been doing all the rescuing and adopting out herself. She has never had to have a dog transported to her. How do we go about setting up transportation. I don't know if it's something we would have to pay for or how it works.

It is for a fairly short distance but neither her nor I have the ability to go pick the dog up.

The trip would be from the Tampa / St Pete, FL area to Deland, FL approx. 2 hours / 126 miles.

The dog is a 9 month old spayed jack russell/beagle mix.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Let me know if that doesn't work out....

I'm in Tampa and can cover a leg.
