Sweet old man, URGENT!

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Sweet old man, URGENT!

Postby Ellena » Tue Jan 15, 2008 12:38 am

Does anyone know of a spot with a warm bed for this sweet old man to lay in? Hes about 9-10 and has a lot of wear on his teeth but nothing slows him down! He's happy ALL the time, dances when you come to visit him, has shown ZERO signs of dog aggression and ignores the cats.

I am willing to further eval him if anyone has a spot. He's of course not neutered, but is chipped and we cannot find his owners (outdated chip info)....

I know old dogs like this dont move, and someone having a spot is a total long shot but I had to try. This boy has three days and id love for something to come through for him.

I'm going to be a retirement home for old pit bulls one day I think. He's beautiful and if things in my life were a bit different, he could finish his days here. So sad.

He'd have room in my house and heart if I was all moved and wasn't on the other coast! Poor old guy - I love older boys, hence why I will be rescuing an old-timer (or at least a dog who is 5+?) when the time comes, I think.

I love senior dogs.

Oh my heart... and what beautiful colors. I'm crossing my fingers for the old guy. That first picture is too cute.

Fingers crossed here.

To me, he is the perfect trophy dog! :inlove: I would be so proud to walk down the street with him on the end of the leash (after a bit of TLC, of course)!

Ellena, has the shelter posted a found dog ad for him in the local paper?

Yes his ad expires the 19th. Daphnesmom was sweet enough to help me do some chip digging and I have a bunch of numbers to call now and at least maybe find his owner before the one that lost him but sadly, I dont think that will get me anywhere either.

What did your hubby say??

:pray

I cannot stop thinking about this guy.

We cannot let him be euthanised. We HAVE to find him an option ... Ellena, can we buy him some extra time? Maybe pay a boarding fee at the shelter for a week or something??? :crybaby:
