Meet Mia!

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Meet Mia!

Postby lpyrbby » Mon Apr 07, 2008 6:25 pm

Mia is probably somewhere between 2 and 3 years old. She is a gem of a dog already from the results of her temperament test. I'm regretting not having some baby aspirin right now because her spay today seems to be making her feel not so wonderful.

Anywho, on to the pictures!

You can see her discomfort and general "blah" feeling.

And of course, the best pic I get of her is in front of a cardboard box lol

She's been laying like this a lot

Please don't use baby aspirin. It's probably side effect from the anesthesia more than pain at this point anyway.
Aspirin can cause the blood to not clot properly, not a good idea after surgery.
Congrats on the spay!
PS - don't feed her this evening and only sips of water, she'll be back to herself tomorrow!

 Thanks for the head's up. I was wondering in the back of my mind about the thinning of the blood. It's probably the main reason I didn't race off to pick some up. Good thing I didn't! She just looks so miserably uncomfortable. It seems like she's having trouble getting comfy more than anything. I can't wait for her to get better already. I'd love to get some pics that really show who she is. C'mon two weeks!

If she doesn't chew cords, I like to put a heating pad on low temp and cover it in a towel or thin blanket. It has always made my girls look more comfy after spay. A water bottle filled with warm water even seems to make them feel more comfortable.

She's a beauty!

Oh my my... she is a beauty! She so much reminds me of Shadow, the black and white girl who was the very first pit I ever met.
