benadryl

yeehaa its that time of year again for rod. allergy season. in the past i've been getting allergy meds from my vet but this time around im trying benadryl. which packs do you all buy, i just bought the pink box. they're 25mg caps so i started by giving him 2 at a time since i was getting the 50mg caps from my vet. any way, what dossage does everyone here use? and how does benadryl work compared to the vet stuff?

he's been getting rashes here and there so its time to start popping pills again. and his ear is acting up to. hopefully with benadryl and wellness fish and SP i can nipp it in the butt.

For a 60 lb dog I thought the dose for Benedryl was 25mg. I had to give this to Doc twice just to chill him out. I'm not a vet though. Is what the vet was prescribing Benedryl or another antihistimine?

Kato was taking Benadryl for the last month. The vet gave him 50mg 3x per day.
It didn't help so now he's on Atarax-75mg 2- 3x per day.

Btw, my sister got me a bottle of 400- 25mg Benadryl (generic) for less than $5.00. I think she bought it at Cosco.

the vet prescribed me a different antihistamine. the vet asst told me i could alsso try benedryl. i'll talk to my vet about it. i was giving him 50mg 2x a day. for now im just gonna give hime 25mg (1pill) 2x until i talk to my vet.

My boyfriend's 60 pound pit gets 75 mg (three pills) twice a day. Any less and his eyes and ears get all red and puffy.
