Dog In Labor Rght now 5 hours has passed

Postby jdmeg6 » Wed Aug 06, 2008 7:08 am

Dog In Labor Right now 5 hours has passed, without another puppy coming out. 2 puppies already came out 1 hour after the another. but now 5 hours has passed and no more puppies. im not sure if she has anymore puppies inside, shes not panting anymore , she was urinating alot during the last 2 hours of the 5 hours. and some vomoiting. but now she is just calm and resting.

what are the symtoms signs if she still have pups inside after 5 hours has passed and none coming out?

i never gotten her an x rayed so i dont know how many she has, maybe just two?

I no nothing of breeding dogs.

Where is your vet? Why have you not gotten the dog to the vet, or atleast PHONED a vet? No one here is a vet!

And then the WHY? Why are you breeding, WITHOUT researching? This is stuff a breeder should know LONG before they decide to breed. If you didnt' breed these dogs--shouldn't have taken on apregnant dog without researching, either. *sigh*

The only way to know if there are more pups is an xray (which you should have done prior to this point to have an estimate of pups). Take her to a vet...now!

Well, at least we know the pups will all get the care they need...

Hope everything works out, although there were a lot of chances for this huge mistake to be corrected/prevented. Based on your last thread, I don't think you'll learn, but I have hope!

She'll die if there's still puppies inside, and if she's still in labor, there's still puppies up there.
Or maybe, if it's a nice vet, they'll have you surrender the dog, the other puppies and call a rescue group to take them from you.

Yes, please take her to the vet immediately.

He can check her over and if she still has more pups inside, he can give her a shot to induce labor or do a C section on her to save her life. If she has pups inside, they have to come out or they will kill the bitch.

A spay abort done 5 weeks ago would have been an easier solution for everyone...

Good luck and hope she is ok.

That bitch needed to be at the vet at the time of the first post.

I'm not too optimistic about how this is going to turn out.
