He is more perky and eating well. The incision is about 10'' long, so recovery from the actual procedure will take a lil' bit more time especially because he is an older guy. The staples come out the end of next week.
My regular vet has been great and calling to check in on me, and the ER Vet that did the surgery has answered about a zillion phone calls from me.
I know I must be driving them nuts.
Patcheeno sends you all big sloppy kisses, just make sure to close your mouth because he'll try to French kiss.

He is resting a lot, but had a couple big energy bursts.
One was when he was annoyed that I wouldn't give him any of my pizza today which is his favorite. I didn't want to upset his stomach any more than it is since his bowel movements aren't back to normal due to the meds.
I carry him up and down the stairs so not to mess up the surgery site. He is kind of hard to hold due to the size of the incision.
He is walking much better and starting to kick the dirt around when he goes LOL
