the lady with the deaf pit in the Health forum

can someone post for me since I don't have access yet? My all white pit was not deaf - I have a female pit now with pink pigment to the inside of her ears - she is NOT deaf...that may be a myth? However, my pit/JRT mix IS hearing impaired. She was wanting to know how to find out for sure - I had help from a good dog trainer - we tested Morty by making noises at random (dropping heavy objects, rattling pennies in a jar, etc) to find that he DID hear some things but not all. Just really wanted to let her know...and it is possible to teach them things and enjoy them and have them enjoy life as well. Morty was in 3 homes before we took him and discovered the hearing impairment. thanks folks in advance
