One of the hardest things about a MCT is worrying about all the other lumps you find. Some dogs are naturally lumpy; other dogs get more lumps as they get older. Most lumps are just cysts. But now I always have my vet check new lumps--she aspirates ones that seem suspicious to her, stains the aspirate, and checks for mast cells right then and there, while I hop nervously from foot to foot.
