Tater and his lady friend Tot were found strays who were turned into BARCS. They are both under a year old, 32 - 35 lb pit bull mixes who are being treated for mange, and are very bonded to each other. They almost look exactly alike, except Tater has medium length... well, scruff.

Both dogs have several bald patches, including the ape-like patches on their rumps that Tot is modeling here:

And both have the adorable habit of letting their tongues hang out, leading one volunteer (and PBF member) to ask me if they were sedated (they weren't).

Tater lets it all hang out.
Unfortunately, right now they're in a room that has been place on two week quarantine because another puppy was sick (which is why for the time being I only have blurry cell photos). Neither of these two seems to be showing any signs of sickness at all, and we're hoping to keep it that way!!! These dogs are so amazingly quiet and sweet and calm - they'd make amazing family members! No resource guarding from each other or humans, no issues with other dogs at all. We'd love for them to stay together!

Do you know how much longer they are going to be quarantined? My girl Epcott is back there too.
