Mischief 2 year old Pit/Lab/? ::Available::

I'll be picking up my new foster tonight. I hate my ex, really I do, he called me the other day and asked if I could get Mischief placed because he's moving at the end of the month to a place that won't allow dogs.
I don't think he has any idea what kind of work goes into foster dogs, seems to me he thinks I'll be able to place an untrained dog in a day.
I really don't want to foster right now and I wasn't prepared to bring dog #5 into the mix but if I don't foster Mischief he will go to the high kill shelter here in town. So my new adventure begins at 6.pm tonight.

Mischief is a Pit/lab/?, he's between 16-18 months, potty trained, a little on the hyper side but very friendly with everyone, he is hand shy but warms up very quickly.
He knows some basic commands, sit, go lay down, and NO.
He's spent a lot of time chained outside in an area with a lot of stray cats, probably does want to chase cats, we will cat test him at some point within the first few days and try to work him on cat tolerance while he's here.
Mischief is very willing to please and with a little consistency would be very easy to train.
He has been described my my ex as a runner, however I'd run too of you chased me screaming at me and waving your arms about, recall training would be pretty easy as he is food and love motivated, he will need a home with a secure yard and someone who will keep him leashed when he is not contained.

Mischief will come with his leashes, collar, plastic dog house, and other accessories.

Mischief is here now, doing alright for night one.

Apparently he's been around very few dogs in his life time, he's got absolutely no dog to dog skills which we expected. Stormy's been very patient with him as we rotate everyone in and out of the house.

He hasn't reacted to the cat yet, i tossed the cat in front of the crate while Mischief was inside just to see if there was any reaction, nothing. We're going to give him a good few days to just relax and get used to the way the house works before we start working on cats with him. He's pretty sketchy, like i said hand shy, and seems to prefer women to men.

He's presently schmoozing Jake for love, he cried for a while in his crate so I relented and let him out.

Mischief is going home next Saturday!!! I took him up to Petsmart today to get his tags and be seen and get to know people. An older couple saw him, had to have him, and filled out the adoption papers and paid the fee right then and there.
He's going to stay with me through the week for leash manners and a little bit of cat tolerance and off he goes. He's going to be big a little big brother to a 4 month old Great Pyr who's already bigger than he is.

I was so afraid they weren't going to want him anymore when we told them that he's part Pit Bull but that didn't change their minds even a bit. I'm so happy for him, they're very nice people, I'll be doing a home check when I take him to them just to be sure everything's Kosher but I'm not worried.

This is the second time a foster has blown right through my house. Last time I had a Bloodhound and she got placed the next day as well, I got updated on her a couple weeks ago, she's doing perfectly in her new home.

I swear this is going to go to my head, I must need to foster more often, if they fly out the door when they've been with me I must have a knack for placing fosters

Well the adoption fell through. Looks like I'm getting stuck with Mischief in my house for a while. Not that I mind, he's a good boy with huge potential. He's behaving himself with the cat, he doesn't know to mind his own business and the cat has beat the hell out of him, thank god the cat's been de-clawed.

Mischief is a really sweet boy. Kinda a big goof, but a total love. I have met this dog, and think very highly of him. Come on folks, you know you want him.
